Saturday May 7th, 2022 is International Astronomy Day & the PAS will be celebrating with a public outreach event at Bogue Chitto State Park near Franklinton, LA. Similar to our last 2-outings at the park we will be setting up telescopes at the horse trailer staging area. Members are invited to come early (4pm-ish) so we can enjoy each other's company & possibly setup for viewing the sun since it has been a very active target of late.
Also don't forget about the upcoming full lunar eclipse on the night of May 15th. Most of North America will get to see this celestial event & enjoy the unique colors it often provides. Many call it the Blood Moon.
