Upcoming Star Gaze Adventure in west Texas

Wow, that was fast! All family cabins (which have bathrooms and a basic kitchen) have now been tentatively held for those that responded. So 12 are now going. The facility still has plenty of bunkhouse space (you bring your own linens and you have to go to a separate bathhouse for that aspect of your travel. There is also space for RV's and campers and tents.

Note - this is neither a Deep South event or a Pontchartrain Astronomy Society event

The only connection is the people who have done the work to gather the details. We want interested parties to be aware of this project but we do not anticipate that a large number of either DSSG participants or PAS members will be willing to make the trip in respect to cost and time investment but we wanted all to be aware of it.

See the attached link. It covers a dark sky star gaze adventure to west Texas in April 2027 to truly dark skies. More discussion about this at our upcoming November 4th meeting at the East Bank Regional Library in Metairie. Be there to have your questions answered.
