December 3rd PAS Meeting - Forecast

Quite frankly the weather/cloud forecast is not looking too promising for tonight's meeting with the Moon/Pleiades Watch. In anticipation of that not being possible we will likely meet indoors.

Current forecast for Metairie on both Accuweather and WeatherUnderground have intermittent partly cloudy skies giving way to heavy cloud cover by 7 pm on Accuweather and 6 pm on WeatherUnderground. That being said unless there is more definitive forecasts, I will still have a scope in my car but will also have the promised backup program should we need to meet indoors.

The program indoors will include a look (pictures) at some of the best fall skies deep sky objects as well as some images from the recent Deep South Star Gaze.

Whether we are indoors or out we will also discuss the Holiday Season Party scheduled for next Wednesday, 12/10 at the Kenner Science Center and Planetarium. We need to get to work on our signup sheet necessary for a proper food order.

Hoping for clear skies tonight and a good meeting turnout!

Pontchartrain Astronomy Society
